THE POSITION
As Store Director, you will lead a dynamic team in delivering exceptional results across sales, service, client development, and operations. You are both a people-first leader and a commercial strategist, responsible for building a high-performance culture while creating a warm and elevated in-store experience that reflects the Orlebar Brown lifestyle.
You will serve as the key connector between our store team, top clients, and local partnerships—while ensuring the business consistently exceeds expectations.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
TEAM LEADERSHIP & PERFORMANCE
- Hire, train, and inspire a team of sales professionals and leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and client-first focus
- Coach team members to meet individual sales goals, develop client books, and grow in role
- Set the tone for the store: energetic, solutions-oriented, and performance-driven
- Deliver weekly performance updates and insights to HQ teams
CLIENT DEVELOPMENT & MARKET PRESENCE
- Champion clienteling within the store and lead by example with top client appointments, reactivation efforts, and personalization strategies
- Build relationships with high-potential clients and local influencers to grow brand awareness and customer loyalty
- Partner with corporate Client Engagement, Marketing, and CRM teams to plan and execute activations, private appointments, and events
- Identify gifting, delighting, and outreach moments and brief corporate as needed
BUSINESS & OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
- Own all aspects of store performance: sales, profitability, conversion, and KPIs
- Maintain high operational standards across scheduling, visual merchandising, inventory, and loss prevention
- Ensure the store consistently reflects the Orlebar Brown brand, from service to presentation to team behavior
- Manage payroll, budgets, and strategic planning in partnership with the Senior Retail Market Manager
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of multi-faceted store leadership experience in luxury, fashion, or lifestyle brands.
- Proven track record in driving store results while developing people and building culture.
- Strategic mindset with strong commercial acumen.
- Deep understanding of the luxury client and what drives loyalty and repeat spend.
- A polished and confident communicator with natural charisma.
- Highly organized, resourceful, and collaborative.
- Passionate about style, storytelling, and helping people feel their best.
